About
Zoonbats began as a serial, published and distributed locally in Xeroxed minicomic issues of 12 pages each. This series of blue minis eventually grew to nine issues. This format eventually became a bit of a logistical hassle, as it was difficult trying to keep all earlier issues in print as well as the newest ones. Eventually the story was reorganized into two larger ivory-covered issues, which were then distributed nationally by the late, great Cold Cut Comics Distribution.

The original series of blue minicomics.
Now, after a brief* hiatus, Zoonbats is back as a weekly webcomic! Check in each week for the latest installment of the ongoing story.
In the future, I’d like to resume printing a minicomic series of Zoonbats, including the earliest issues. I’ll keep you posted as things develop.
My name is Giles O’Dell, and I write and draw Zoonbats. I also work as an animator, musician and father with my family in North Carolina.
*”Brief,” in this instance, is technically accurate in geological time.
